The build and design of Realme 5

The Realme 5 looks like a best copy of the recently released Honor 8X with the same ultra-thin bezel design. The back of the phone is made up of glass which makes it possible to have wireless charging support. The fingerprint sensor is located at the front right side and the Power key is placed on the right side of the phone. The dimensions of the phone are similar to the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro in India. We found the smartphone to be comfortable to use in single-hand operation as there are big enough soft touch keys at the right side of the display. The volume rocker is placed at the top and the hybrid dual-SIM card slot is placed at the bottom of the phone. A quick look at the specs and the features Realme 5 is loaded with 6.

 

The display

The smartphone has a display with HD+ resolution and this provides a pixel density of 430 ppi. While holding the smartphone, the smartphone gets stable in both bright and shade conditions. The brightness level of the smartphone is pretty high and you don’t require using a flashlight to use the smartphone in the dark. This aspect is good for a phone with 6.5 inch screen. The front display also provides an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The smartphone provides a notch on top of the display, however, there are slight bezels on top of the display. The notch is provided to provide Face Unlock to the smartphone. The size of the notch on the smartphone is relatively smaller than the smartphones with in-display fingerprint scanner like Vivo V11 Pro and Oppo Find X.

The Realme 5 is the successor to the Realme 2 and the smartphone will be available in two variants: 3 GB + 32 GB and 4 GB + 64 GB internal storage, respectively. With Snapdragon 660 AIE, the smartphone will be able to perform pretty smoothly without any major lag or lag. The AI features such as the face unlock, gesture-based navigation and reading mode in the phone are pretty good. The display is not as vibrant as the display of the Vivo NEX and this is due to the less RAM. In the camera department, the Realme 5 is a selfie-centric smartphone. The Realme 5 smartphone has a fingerprint sensor at the back that can also be used for unlocking the phone, payments and more. The internal storage is 64 GB and supports additional storage up to 256 GB via microSD card slot. Battery The battery of the phone is 3310 mAh capacity with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The phone comes with a standard USB port with OTG support.

 

Battery backup

Realme 5 comes with a 3,500 mAh battery, which is pretty big battery, compared to other rivals in the market. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 2.2 GHz octa-core processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It can run for up to 8 hours. The other specs of the phone include 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM with a high-end variant with a more RAM or internal storage. Selfie and security There’s a dual-camera setup on the back of the phone. The backside of the phone is a glossy, glossy black color with a prominent antenna lines. On the frontside, it comes with a decent selfie camera with the 15MP main camera and an LED flash. But, the selfie camera has an AI beautification feature. In the rearside, there is a fingerprint scanner, IR light, and a dual-tone LED flash.

The phone is available in two variants with one of them priced at Rs 13,990 and other at Rs 15,990. It is exclusive to Amazon.in and Realme India’s official website. The design is inspired by the iPhone X with the all glass body and dual-camera system placed on the top left corner. In terms of the specs, the phone comes with 4G VoLTE, a fingerprint scanner, a face unlock, a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and the earpiece. In addition, it has a dual camera on the back, a 6.3-inch display, a 3500 mAh battery, and a new waterdrop notch design. The price tag is also pretty good considering its specifications.
