Pevita Pearce’s parents are from Jambi, Indonesia and when she was four years old, she moved with her parents and older sister to Britain to join her grandmother, who was from the Inkatha tribe in Wales. She attended Gresford Girls High School in Wrexham, Wales and was described as an “engaged student”. She was also reportedly a member of the boxing team. From Gresford, Pevita went on to study Business and Economics at Plymouth University and while there, she went on to enjoy life as a model, appearing in TV shows and commercials. After graduating from Plymouth University, she had to turn down a number of acting jobs.
After coming to Britain, she was trained in dancing and horse riding and attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School.
