Google Pixel 4 Is Camera Review
The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL come with one of the best smartphone cameras on the market. But the Pixel 3 Lite brings a missing feature: front-facing stereo speakers. The Pixel 3 Lite also has a single rear camera. That’s something many budget phones don’t have anymore. The selfie snapper has a fixed 8-megapixel resolution, which is enough for basic snapping and editing. Photo credit: Kyle Wiggers / Google More The front-facing speakers are a welcome addition, but there’s only room for one of them in the smaller Pixel 3 Lite. The smartphone has a single loudspeaker that’s also attached to a woofer. It’s quite loud, but it does take a little while to get used to. On the downside, the single speaker also turns the Pixel 3 Lite into a phone that’s almost unplugged.

Google Pixel 4 Is Display Review
One of the notable improvements to the Pixel 3 XL’s display is that its larger sibling no longer makes you physically reach to turn up the brightness on the display. Even in direct sunlight it was never an issue, but it’s a small, yet noteworthy, improvement. Read more: Pixel 3 XL vs iPhone XS vs OnePlus 6T: What’s the Difference? The display uses a polariser to reduce the amount of blue light that passes through it, which can be a problem if you’re sensitive to bright-light colours like I am, or if you wear glasses. I used the phone in the dark at night with the screen set to the ‘night mode’ colour setting to see how well it worked, and for most of the time it did.
Google Pixel 4 Is Performance
Opinion by Nick Summers Was the camera one of the Pixel 3’s biggest flaws? What do you think? 50 50 8 participants First off, there’s the Snapdragon 845 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and an Adreno 630 GPU. This gives the Pixel 3 the fastest Android phones on the market (seriously, you’ll struggle to find one with better hardware), and running Android 9 Pie comes with the added bonus of Pixel Keyboard, which lets you type with your fingers. On the front there’s a 12.2-megapixel camera, which again uses the wide-angle lens from the Pixel 3 XL (as well as the selfie cam) with 2x lossless zoom and a Portrait Mode-style artificial bokeh. It’s very good, and up there with the best phones on the market when it comes to quality.

We really like the design and the ‘notch-less’ display. The phone also flaunts a camera that’s worthy of the Google Pixel series.

Battery Life Review
I was one of those enthusiasts who eagerly awaited the Pixel 3 XL’s release last year, so when Google finally launched its latest flagship, I was overjoyed. But I couldn’t help feeling disappointed at the same time. The Pixel 3 XL is a superb phone in some ways – its display is clear and bright, the display is packed with sensors and has very good viewing angles, the cameras are really good and the software is one of the best out there – but the major disappointment was its battery life. The Pixel 3 XL has a 3,430mAh battery, which is pretty small for a 6.3-inch phone. When I compared it to the last generation Pixel 3, I was disappointed with the phone’s battery life.
User Experience with the Battery Life
Out of the box, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL offer a day and a half battery life, which should be plenty for most users, but the Pixel 4 runs out in a day or so. While most of the information available about the Pixel 4’s battery life claim this is due to the phone’s 18:9 display, which we’ll be discussing later, this isn’t the only reason. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL pack larger batteries than the Pixel 4, which makes it hard to compete on the longevity front. In addition, the Pixel 4’s somewhat smaller display also throttles performance, resulting in a sluggish device. Design The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are more slim and minimalist than the Pixel 4, with an aluminium frame and glass back in a design inspired by the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The edges of the Pixel 3 XL are just 6.
Conclusion
The Pixel 3 is still the most refined of Google’s premium Android phones, but the Pixel 4—equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB of RAM, wireless charging, and water resistance—might make it seem like yesterday’s news. And while there are still reasons to be skeptical of some of Google’s software decisions, the Pixel 4 is the Android phone to beat. The Android Pie update doesn’t come out until next month, but the Pixel 4 is available right now in black and white. The Pixel 3 starts at $799 with 64GB of storage, while the Pixel 3 XL starts at $899 with 64GB of storage. Reviewing phones this fast in this specific market takes some serious time and focus. After a few weeks with both phones, I can confidently say that Google’s newest phone makes its previous model obsolete.
